Queen Camilla's nephew chooses festive rap instead of carols for his charity event at St James's Church, writes RICHARD EDEN

RICHARD EDEN: I hear Philadelphia-born rapper Eve will be the headline act at the Fayre of St James's Christmas carol concert next week, at St James's Church in Piccadilly.

The fundraiser, which will also feature pop stars Emeli Sande and Jack Savoretti, is in aid of the Quintessentially Foundation and its Firefly Project initiative, which supports young people affected by poverty in London. The princess set her sights on being able to stage the Together At Christmas service in 2024 despite the health challenges she has faced, and it forms part of her gradual return to public duties after finishing chemotherapy treatment in the summer. Members of the royal family will gather with the princess as some 1,600 people fill the abbey in London to see musical performances by stars including Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean and Gregory Porter.
