Queen Camilla breaks silence after Charles' cancer shock with emotional statement


Queen Camilla has made an appearance to celebrate the work of a number of charities at Salisbury Cathedral, just days after King Charles's shock cancer diagnosis

The King said: "My wife and I hold such special memories of our visit to your beautiful 'Spice Island' five years ago, and of the warm and touching welcome you extended to us. King Charles' poignant words to Grenada, which praised the nation's progress over the past five decades, officially marked the first public statement from the monarch since his cancer diagnosis was confirmed by Buckingham Palace on Monday (February 5). Camilla's appearance at the event comes after Charles gave his first public statement following the news of his diagnosis (Image: Kirsty Wigglesworth/PA Wire)He flew 5,440 miles from LAX to London’s Heathrow airport, landing in the capital on Tuesday at lunchtime and travelled to Clarence House to see his father.
