Punkie Johnson says she left 'Saturday Night Live' after thinking she didn't 'belong' on the sketch comedy show

Saturday Night Live has catapulted the careers of many of today’s most popular comedians, including Will Ferrell, Eddie Murphy, Tina Fey and Adam Sandler. Host Bad Bunny, Marcello Hernandez, Punkie Johnson, and Mikey Day during the “Telenovela” sketch on ‘SNL.’Will Heath/NBCJohnson joined SNL in 2020, making history as the first out Black queer woman cast on the show.
