Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Arrested After Reported Standoff With Police

Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin was arrested after allegedly resisting arrest during a traffic stop.

On Wednesday (July 31), the 52-year-old rocker was pulled over for a traffic violation by police in Burbank, Calif. During the stop, officials discovered Scantlin had an outstanding warrant from a previous crime for allegedly having a weapon at an airport, according to TMZ. The “Blurry” singer allegedly refused to step out of his Hummer H2 after several requests from law enforcement, prompting them to call in a “crisis negotiator.” After Scantlin continued to resist, he was reportedly pepper-sprayed by officers. In 2017, Scantlin was arrested for allegedly attempting to bring a BB gun on a plane at LAX Airport while boarding a flight to Texas.
