Publishing Briefs: Reach Throws Fitz a Deal, Plus ‘Cowgirls’ Co-Writer Finds Home at Range


This week in publishing news: Reach expands its partnership with Fitz and The Tantrums frontman, Range signs co-writer of Morgan Wallen’s “Cowgirls."

In case you missed it, the Copyright Office requested public comment on “factors that may be contributing to the formation of new PROs” and Puerto Rican reggaetón star Yandel signed a worldwide publishing administration deal with Warner Chappell Music. Story House Collective, founded by Christian artist/songwriter Matthew West, signed to its roster producer/songwriter Carter Frodge, who has worked with artists including Cain (“The Commission”), Newsboys ( Stand), Jordan St. Cyr (“Be My Defender”) and The Afters (“God Is With Us”). Gangsta, who has a deep knowledge of Caribbean and African music (afrobeat, amapiano, salsa, and reggaetón), has also worked with Piso 21, Mariah Angeliq, Pedro Capó, Wisin, Elena Rose and Farruko, among other artists.
