The new series, set against the backdrop of early 2000s West Bengal, centers on Indian Police Service (IPS) cop Arjun Maitra, a principled officer who emerges as a catalyst for change during a period when gangsters and politicians wielded unchallenged authority. The showrunner also acknowledged the production team’s efforts: “Both the directors, Tusshar and Debatma, along with the entire crew have worked tirelessly to bring this narrative to life and we hope that it will captivate the audiences. Pandey concluded by highlighting the show’s global-local balance: “Through our continued partnership with Netflix, we champion stories that resonate on a global scale while remaining deeply rooted in local authenticity.”
