Professor T’s Sunetra Sarker: ‘Sad’ divorce, reason she lives apart from new husband, and job which left her ‘vulnerable’

As Sunetra Sarker joins ITV's Professor T, we look at her 'sad' divorce, how she found love again, and the job that left her 'vulnerable'.

Sunetra Sarker is famous for her roles in some of TV’s most popular series – including Casualty, Ackley Bridge, Sherwood, and The Bay – and now she’s adding Professor T to her already impressive résumé. After leaving Casualty in 2015, the actress went on portray Sahana Harrison in Broadchurch, DCI Jane Burr in Safe House, and Sadia Shar in The Informer. “When two people part it’s always sad, but our focus was making sure we could still be a modern family for Noah.” Sunetra also revealed at the time that there were “no bad feelings” when it came to the end of her marriage.
