Princes William And Harry’s Nanny’s Stepson Killed In New Orleans attack; King Charles Shares Sadness


Edward Pettifer was the stepson of Alexandra Pettifer, known as 'Tiggy Legge-Bourke', popular nanny to princes William and Harry.

Julian Parker/Getty Images King Charles has shared his sadness at the death of a British man he knew personally in the New Orleans vehicle attack on New Year Day. The Pettifer family has paid tribute to Edward, calling him “a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend.” The attack on January 1 st involved US Army veteran Shamsud-Din Jabbar driving a pick-up truck into crowds on Bourbon Street in New Orleans’ famous French Quarter, killing 14 and injuring at least 38. International media reports that the attacker left his car and began firing at police.
