Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ Gets 4K Re-Release to Mark Film’s 40th Anniversary

Purple Rain the movie won’t be released in this updated edition until June 25, but you can get your hands on a copy and lock in the current price now as Amazon, Walmart and Target have opened up their preorders. Along with a 4K disc and digital code, you’ll also get access to special bonus features including commentary from the film’s director and music videos for the singles off the album. Other cast members include Apollonia, Morris Day, Jerome Benton, Clarence Williams III, Jill Jones, Billy Sparks and Olga Karlatos.
