The Prince and Princess of Wales have paid tribute to former Rugby League player Rob Burrow who tragically died at the age of 41 after a battle with motor neurone disease

Prince William has paid a heartfelt tribute to the 'legend of Rugby League' Rob Burrow, who tragically passed away at 41 after a long battle with motor neurone disease. Throughout his impressive career, the ex-England international championed his team to secure eight Super League trophies before retiring in 2017 and being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) two years later. A heartfelt statement from the MND Association read: "Our thoughts today are with Rob's wife Lindsey, children Macy, Maya and Jackson, family and friends and the rugby community."
