Prince William will 'shield' Kate Middleton as she 'recuperates' after surgery


Prince William has stepped back from major Royal duties as he takes care of his wife, Kate Middleton, who is recovering from "planned abdominal surgery" that she underwent in January

On 17 January, Kensington Palace announced that Kate, 42, had been admitted to hospital for "planned abdominal surgery" and will not return to public duties until after Easter as she is advised to take 10 to 14 weeks to recover. HM King Charles III is battling an unspecified cancer (Image: Daily Mirror / Ian Vogler)According to MailOnline, Kate travelled to the Royals' Sandringham estate in Norfolk, earlier this week, with Prince William and their children, who are on their half-term holidays from school. King Charles is also staying at Sandringham, amid his cancer battle, and he waved to crowds as he headed to the estate's St Mary Magdalene Church on Sunday, 11 February.
