"absolute ban" on Prince Harry being welcomed back into the royal family four years after the younger brother stepped back from royal duties and moved to California. The Prince of Wales, 42, is said to have ruled out a thawing of relations, and has recently taken on the role of disciplinarian - a role previously adopted by his late grandad Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
According to a source, those around the royal family sense that William has "stepped into the Prince Philip role", and is ruling with a "rod of iron". "Philip ruled the family with a rod of iron and you saw when he died that discipline collapsed," the source told the Daily Beast.
