The soccer match marked a rare public outing for William and George in recent days in light of Kate’s health battle. After several weeks out of the public eye, the Princess of Wales announced in a video on March 22 that she had been undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatments for an undisclosed type of cancer. “He’s beginning to prepare George, but he still wants his son to have as carefree a childhood as he can — like his mother, [the late Princess] Diana, allowed him to do,” the insider said.
