Prince William forced to deny he disapproved of Meghan and Harry with statement

The rift between the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex has been well-publicised – but it is believed to have begun when Harry's relationship with Meghan Markle picked up speed

So much so, that at the time a statement was issued on Prince William's behalf to deny claims he was “deeply unhappy” with his brother’s decision to publicly confirm his relationship with Meghan. The message from Prince Harry said he had fears for Meghan's safety after members of the press door stepped her and her family and attempted to illegally gain access to her property. Every detail of their subsequent decision to step back from their senior royal roles in 2020 has been heavily publicised and the pair are continuing to carve out their positions away from the Firm.
