Prince William and Kate Middleton 'deeply saddened' over Liverpool parade incident
The Prince and Princess of Wales have said they are “deeply saddened” by the Liverpool parade crash, adding: 'What should have been a joyful celebration ended with tragedy'
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, William, who is the patron of the Football Association alongside Kate, said: "We are deeply saddened by the scenes in Liverpool yesterday. In the wake of the incident, where nearly 50 individuals were hurt as a car drove into the crowd, leaving four in a critical condition, King Charles also conveyed his sorrow: "My wife and I were deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the terrible events that took place in Liverpool on Monday. During her visit to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital on Tuesday, Anne met with nurses, consultants, paramedics, representatives from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, and the football club.
