Prince Harry’s U.S. Visa Application Heavily Redacted Amid Legal Battle

Prince Harry’s U.S. visa application has gone public amid the legal battle between think-tank The Heritage Foundation and the Department of Homeland Security

A federal judge ruled on Tuesday, March 18, in favor of the Heritage Foundation to unseal Harry’s visa application in court. “To release his exact status could subject him to reasonably foreseeable harm in the form of harassment as well as unwanted contact by the media and others,” chief FOIA officer for the Department of Homeland Security Jarrod Panter said in a declaration obtained by NBC News. Upon losing his former public-funded security personnel after moving from England to California, Harry applied for judicial review in January 2022 to fund his family’s own protection during U.K. visits.
