Diana, Princess of Wales' funeral took place 27 years ago on 6 September, 1997 and both her sons have spoken openly about their memories of walking behind her coffin

Prince Harry has been incredibly open during the 27 years that have passed since his mother's tragic death and has frequently spoken about the effect that it had on his mental health. He was just 12 years old when Diana, Princess of Wales was killed in a car crash in Paris and just a few days later on 6 September he walked behind his mother's coffin with his brother, his father, his grandfather and his uncle. Prince Harry was previously very open about the struggles he faced after his mother's death when he co-created the mental health documentary series, The Me You Can’t See, with Oprah Winfrey for Apple TV.
