Prince Harry will receive a 2024 Living Legends of Aviation Award for his time as a military helicopter pilot
Harry was candid about the lives he took during his two tours of duty in Afghanistan, claiming that he killed more than two dozen Taliban militants as a helicopter pilot in 2012 and 2013. “I think the most important thing here is, not only the context, but the reason why I decided to share this in my book,” he said during a January 2023 appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Charity has played a huge part in their relationship, both while they were senior members of the British royal family and since they announced their decision to step back in January 2020.
