Prince Harry Loses Latest Court Battle With Government Over UK Security Protection
Prince Harry has lost his UK government security court battle after moving to LA with wife Meghan Markle.
Since moving to LA with wife Meghan Markle and removing some of his royal duties, Harry has bene trying to overturn the rule that saw his security status downgraded, and his lawyers argued there was unfairness in how the decision was made, according to the BBC. Home Office lawyers had previously told the High Court that the Duke of Sussex would still have publicly-funded police security but these would be “bespoke arrangements, specifically tailored to him.” He has long argued that he should be given full protection. Earlier this month, he was awarded “substantial” further damages in the remaining part of his phone hacking claim against Mirror Group Newspapers, and followed this up with a war of words with arch nemesis Piers Morgan.
