The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are understood to have had "no idea" of Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis until she went public with the news and released an honest, unprecedented video announcement to the nation on Friday evening. In her video message to the public released on Friday, Princess Catherine confirmed the abdominal surgery she had in January at a hospital in London was "successful," and added that, at the time, it was believed her condition was non-cancerous. It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful," Princess' Kate's video began.
