Prince Harry 'begged' Royal Family to delay announcing news in tense moment

Prince Harry was 'frantic' to be with his family when his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, passed away and had to 'beg' the Royal Family to delay announcing the news

The world was officially informed of Queen Elizabeth II's passing at 6:30pm on September 8 2022, just before Prince Harry could reach Aberdeen and head to Balmoral. Buckingham Palace had intended to issue a statement earlier, but Harry "begged" them to hold off as he wanted to be present, according to Omid Scobie, the author of Endgame. A source said the King was "adamant" that all members of 'the Firm' had to be informed of the monarch's death before the palace broke the news, reports the Daily Record.
