Prince Harry 'begged' for royal announcement to be delayed
A new extract from Omid Scobie's book Endgame has revealed that Prince Harry made a desperate plea to his family over a heartbreaking announcement that was made
The sad news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's death was shared with the world at 6.30pm on the fateful day of September 8, 2022 – just before Harry was able to land in an Aberdeen airport and journey to Balmoral. Scobie writes in his book that Buckingham Palace had initially planned to issue a statement earlier but delayed at Harry's heartfelt request. The late Queen's grandson wished to be united with his relatives before the public were informed, but adverse weather conditions meant his flight had to circle above, causing a delay.
