Prince George to miss the Duke of Westminster's epic 'Bridgerton' wedding - despite dad William being an usher

The Prince of Wales is to attend the wedding of his close friend the Duke of Westminster today (7 June), Hugh Grosvenor, while Prince George will not be present

The heir to the throne has known the Grosvenor family all of his life and for years was mentored by Hugh's father, Gerald, who was one of King Charles' closest friends before his death in 2016 at the age of 64. The couple reportedly chose the wedding venue for its stunning beauty and personal connection to Hugh, whose family home, Eaton Hall, is nearby. The Duke of Westminster became an overnight billionaire when he inherited his title and control of the historic Grosvenor Estate at just 25 years old, following his father's sudden death from a heart attack in 2016.
