President Joe Biden Addresses Nation for First Time Since Dropping Out of 2024 Presidential Race

President Joe Biden announced he was dropping out of the race and endorsing Kamala Harris earlier this month.

Years ago, Biden called himself a transitional candidate, and listed Vice President Kamala Harris among the younger generation of leaders he saw as the future of the Democratic Party. "Nowhere else on earth could a kid with a stutter from modest beginnings in Scranton and Claymont one day sit behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office as president of the United States," he said. Abroad, the president said he would continue to make NATO stronger, support Ukraine's fight for freedom, and work to end the war in Gaza.
