Pregnant Briony Aston was treated to a Red Thread Ceremony by one of her friends ahead of the birth of her third child.
The doula and birthing expert is expecting with her Coronation Street star husband Sam, who has played Chesney Brown in the soap since 2003. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Briony - who calls herself The Northern Doula professionally - shared a series of snaps from her day, in which she painted her 'labour candles', ate cake and had the ceremony - based of Navajo/Dineh tradition. Their sad loss was due to a condition called Vanishing Twin Syndrome, which occurs when one foetus stops growing and the mother's body absorbs the embryo.
