Sir Alan Bates has tied the knot with his partner Suzanne Sercome after 34 years together, marrying in a stunning Caribbean wedding ceremony on Richard Branson's private island, Necker Island, in a ceremony officiated by the Virgin boss. And following the joyous wedding news, Richard told The Sunday Times: “It was an absolute joy to play a small part in Alan and Suzanne’s love story, and I know they will continue to spread the beautiful light they share with everyone around them.” Alan and Suzanne put their life savings into their post office business, but he was let go back in 2003 after the faulty computer system - Horizon - showed money was appearing to go missing.
