Pope Francis Funeral Set to Livestream on YouTube
The funeral of Pope Francis will be livestreamed Saturday, April 25, on YouTube and available for free in multiple languages.
The livestream of the funeral and related events will be available on its official YouTube channel in English and also available in Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German. The pope’s funeral, according to strict protocol, is to be followed two to three weeks later by the secretive conclave, in which 135 cardinals from around the world gather in the Sistine Chapel to elect the next leader of the Catholic Church. Pope Francis, a native of Argentina who the first Latin American leader of the Catholic Church, died on Monday, April 21, a day after he emerged from convalescence and taking a surprise popemobile ride to bless thousands of people in St. Peter’s Square on Easter Sunday.
