Following the news of Katy Perry ‘s planned exit from the series next season, the 44-year-old entertainer was asked if she’d be up for replacing her fellow pop star as one of the judges on the hit reality TV series. “I don’t like hurting people’s feelings,” she explained as for the reason, saying she’s “not set up” to give honest feedback to young hopefuls if it’s too harsh. She added that while she understands the appeal of fostering young talent, she prefers her own career as a superstar: “I like my day job,” she concluded.
