Pinewood Studios To Close TV Unit, Which Hosts Shows Including ‘Drag Race UK’
Pinewood, the famous British film studios facility, is closing its television unit amid comedy and entertainment slowdown.
The company said it had taken the decision following an internal review and it comes amid a dramatic slowdown in comedy and entertainment commissioning in the UK. Pinewood’s three dedicated TV studios host shows including Taskmaster and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. “We are very proud of the work the TV team has delivered over the years, having hosted many major titles for the UK’s broadcasters.”
