Pierce Brosnan Says 'of Course' He's 'Interested' in Returning to James Bond Role 22 Years After His Last 007 Movie
Pierce Brosnan addressed the notion that he could return to portraying James Bond in a recent interview and said, "Of course, how could I not be interested? But it's a delicate situation now."
Bond's future has been up in the air for more than three years now; Craig, 57, left the role after the conclusion of 2021's No Time to Die. Despite years of speculation regarding the series' future, The Wall Street Journal published a December 2024 report that claimed the Broccoli family, who produced the Bond films for decades, and Amazon had reached "an impasse" regarding new movies after Amazon purchased MGM Studios and the rights to distribute the 007 movies in 2022. “I think the man has the chops and the talent and the charisma to play Bond, very much so,” Brosnan said of Taylor-Johnson, 34, during a March 2024 appearance on RTÉ Radio 1’s The Ray D'Arcy Show.
