Pierce Brosnan Pleads Guilty To Two Yellowstone National Park Offenses
The actor stepped off a trail in the park near thermal areas, but has accepted the fines for his actions.
He was fined $500 and ordered to make a $1,000 donation by April 1 to Yellowstone Forever, a nonprofit organization created to support the national park. The 70-year-old actor was cited for “foot travel in all thermal areas and w/in Yellowstone Canyon confined to trails” and “violating closures and use limits,” according to the U.S. District Court of Wyoming docket. The Yellowstone website advises, “New hazards can bubble up overnight, and pools are acidic enough to burn through boots, so you must stay in designated walking areas.
