Pierce Brosnan Agrees With Helen Mirren Calling Out James Bond’s ‘Profound Sexism’: ‘She Let Them Have It… There’s Always Going to Be Conflict’


Helen Mirren slammed James Bond for its "profound sexism." Pierce Brosnan says there is a "certain agreement there."

Mirren recently spoke to The Standard and went viral for saying she “never liked” the Bond franchise because of “the way women were” treated in it. But there’s a certain world and room to move within the proscenium arch of what [Bond creator and author] Ian Fleming put down. Brosnan’s tenure as 007 ended with 2002’s “Die Another Day,” but he recently said on “Today” that he thinks he “could get away with” coming back by if the Bond franchise ever wanted to center on an older version of the famous spy.
