Picture Tree Takes ‘Divine Remedy,’ Directed by Markell Brothers, Whose ‘Grand Finale’ Sells to Key Territories (EXCLUSIVE)
Picture Tree Intl. has taken international sales rights to Icelandic comedy 'Divine Remedy,' directed by the Markell Brothers.
“Divine Remedy,” directed by the Markell Brothers, tells the story of a group of Icelandic priests sent on a mission to find quality sacramental wine, only to miss a series of miraculous events, including the Second Coming of Christ. The comedy promises to blend spiritual quests with spirited misadventures, maintaining the Markell Brothers’ signature style that has dominated Icelandic cinema. “We are thrilled to embark on this new project with the Markell Brothers, whose creative vision has consistently resonated with audiences,” said Yuan Rothbauer, co-managing director of Picture Tree.
