Phillip Schofield takes savage swipe at ex-colleagues claiming they 'threw him under the bus'

Phillip Schofield's new Channel 5 show, Cast Away, sees him spend 10 days on a remote island and open up on a number of topics, including his former colleagues at ITV

The Absolutely Fabulous star, 78, who was cast away off the coast of Madagascar in Girl Friday, a 1994 BBC programme named after a character in Daniel Defoe's novel Robinson Crusoe, offers some advice. When comedian Ruby Wax found herself marooned on an island in the Indian Ocean for a gruelling 10 days, documenting her survival journey with nothing but body and hand-held cameras during the first series, she received heartfelt words from Dame Joanna. In the upcoming three-part series, Phillip Schofield: Cast Away, the TV veteran will face a similar challenge as he attempts to fend for himself, sourcing his own food and building shelter in a bid to survive.
