Phillip Schofield has opened up about his This Morning exit and his relationship with Holly Willoughby in a new interview ahead of his TV return on Channel 5 next week

Looking to turn the page in his television story, he is now set for a comeback in Channel 5's Cast Away on Monday 30 September, more than a year since the drama that nearly derailed his illustrious three-decade plus career hit the headlines. Phillip has spoken about his time on The Morning (Image: ITV) Opening up about his experiences, Philip revealed in teaser clips from his new series - which will grace screens for three nights in a row - his mixed emotions about his past life in front of the camera, saying: "I miss parts of being on TV, certainly. The biggest revelation from the former star, however, is a bombshell he drops in which he hints he was shown the door from the This Morning set rather than choosing to leave after 20 years, saying: "It's inconceivable that I would quit [any show that he is on]."
