The eagerly anticipated Bergerac reboot is almost here, but fans will notice that one major character has been replaced - and the star was shocked at the decision
Bergerac is making a comeback, but fans will be surprised to find that the character of Charlie Hungerford has been replaced, much to the shock of Philip Glenister. While he had an idea that he wouldn't be playing Jim Bergerac, Philip was hoping to bring the flamboyant character of Charlie back to life on-screen. Asked on his preparations for the role, he credits Paul Kalanithi’s book When Breath Becomes Air for exposing "the roller coaster of hope and disappointment" that comes with illness and grief.
