Philadelphia Eagles Defeat Washington Commanders to Clinch Super Bowl Berth
The Philadelphia Eagles advance to the Super Bowl for the second time in three years after a big win Sunday over the Washington Commanders.
The victory caps a strong season for the Eagles with quarterback Jalen Hurts and the addition of running back Saquon Barkley, who was signed as a free agent to three-year deal with the team last March. The Eagles will face off at the Super Bowl against either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills, depending on the outcome of today’s AFC championship game, which is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. With three minutes to go in the quarter, as the score reached 55-23, Eagles’ players and coaches started celebrating, high-fiving and dumping big tubs of Gatorade on one another on the sidelines.
