Pharrell’s Something in the Water Festival Postponed Until 2025: ‘It Has to Be the Best’

The annual Something In the Water festival has been canceled until 2025, Pharrell announced Friday, writing that the festival "just isn't ready yet."

The superproducer made the announcement the same day the festival’s pre-sale tickets had gone on sale, writing on social media Friday that the show wasn’t ready and needed time to be as good as he wanted. The postponement comes at a challenging time for the music festival marketplace, which faces higher expenses, bigger asking prices from artists, and increasing inclement weather. Made In America, the annual fest in Philadelphia, was canceled earlier this year, while organizers for Desert Daze in Lake Perris, California, announced last month that they were canceling the event due to “rising production costs and the current volatile festival market.”
