Writing in new!, Peter said that, whilst he is excited about the new baby his wife, Emily, is expecting, the joy is tinged with sadness as he comes to terms with his parents ageing. Peter and Emily are part of a blended family, with their own two children, Amelia and Theo, and Pete's two kids, Junior and Princess, from his marriage to Katie Price. He said that his mum's health battles have been "very difficult" in recent years and he decided to keep his happy news a secret in case things went wrong in Emily's pregnancy.
