The Who’s Tommy composer Pete Townshend, The Outsiders producer Angelina Jolie, and the Wicked movie’s Cynthia Erivo are among the roster of Tony Award presenters announced today by producers of this Sunday’s broadcast. Airing live from the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, the lineup of stars includes Utkarsh Ambudkar, Nate Burleson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Josh Gad, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Sean Hayes, Taraji P. Henson, Julianne Hough, Jennifer Hudson, , Nick Jonas, Idina Menzel, Ashley Park, Jim Parsons, Wendell Pierce, Ben Platt, Anthony Ramos, Andrew Rannells, Solomon Thomas, Taylor Tomlinson, Tamara Tunie, Adrienne Warren, Patrick Wilson and Jeffrey Wright. Earlier today, Tony organizers confirmed that Best Play nominee Stereophonic had been added to a previously released list of musical performances, joining musicals Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Hell’s Kitchen, Illinoise, Merrily We Roll Along, Suffs, The Outsiders, The Who’s Tommy and Water for Elephants.
