Pete Evans is selling his sprawling wellness retreat near Byron Bay after being 'cancelled' during the Covid pandemic


He was banned from social media for his controversial views during the Covid crisis.

The once popular TV star has attracted scrutiny for speaking out against vaccine mandates and was fined $25,000 for spruiking a light machine which he claimed helped treat Covid symptoms. Free from the contractual constraints of mainstream network television, Evans began spouting beliefs about vaccines and the Covid-19 pandemic on social media. In July, 2020, Evans sparked outrage when he falsely claimed that Covid-19 was a 'f**king hoax' and that the pandemic 'doesn't compare to what is happening in the world on a large scale'.
