Pete Davidson on His New Film Role: ‘I Don’t Get a Lot of Opportunities’

‘Saturday Night Live’ alum Pete Davidson made rare comments about his villainous new role in Dav Pilkey’s ‘Dog Man’

“It’s a really fun, loud, layered character,” Davidson, 31, said in an interview with CBS on Sunday, January 26, referring to Dog Man’s forever nemesis, Petey the Cat. The comedian — who has been out of the public eye as of late after checking into a wellness center for mental health treatment in June 2024 – went on to share how grateful he is to have a shot at playing the bad guy in author and illustrator Dav Pilkey’s beloved Dog Man books. In a recent interview with W Magazine published in December 2024, Davidson opened up about what he hopes he will be known for — especially after dating a slew of Hollywood A-listers including Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale and Kim Kardashian.
