PETA Issues Response to Michael Vick's New Collegiate Head Coaching Job

PETA has issued their response to the new collegiate head coaching job secured by Michael Vick, who previously spent 21 months in prison for operating a dog fighting ring

In an exclusive statement to Us Weekly, the animal rights organization said, “As long as Michael Vick’s new position doesn’t put him within shouting distance of any dogs, PETA wishes him no ill.” Per an agreement with authorities before sentencing, Vick agreed to deposit nearly $1 million in an escrow account to reimburse others for the costs of caring for the confiscated dogs from his property. Vick — who played a total of 13 seasons in the NFL, including seven after he was released from prison — announced his new coaching position via social media on Tuesday, December 17.
