Pet owners urged to immediately check pet food as cat dies after eating bird-flu contaminated meal


A cat has died from avian influenza after consuming contaminated pet food, and a voluntary recall has now being issued for the product that was found to contain the virus

The food in question has a whopping 98% turkey content including meat, organs, and bones, and was available across several US states like Washington, Arizona, Rhode Island, Georgia, Maryland, as well as in Canada and through select resellers here in the UK. A cat has already died after eating the contaminated food, according to authoritiesThe Oregon Department of Agriculture issued a lengthy press release on Friday, December 27 which included a stern warning about consuming raw meat. It also urged people to avoid eating raw or undercooked meat and dairy products, limit contact with dead or ill animals, and report any sick-looking birds to authorities.
