Perry Farrell Apologizes After Jane’s Addiction Cancel Tour: ‘My Breaking Point Resulted in Inexcusable Behavior’

Perry Farrell apologized for his behavior after he punched Dave Navarro onstage, prompting Jane's Addiction to cancel their reunion tour.

Perry Farrell apologized to his bandmates, fans, and family after an onstage altercation with Dave Navarro prompted Jane’s Addiction to cancel the rest of their reunion tour. “This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show,” Farrell said in a statement. The band’s official note was accompanied by a separate statement from Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery, who said the tour was canceled due to a “continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell.”
