Pearl Jam Preview New Album With Electrifying Single ‘Dark Matter’
Pearl Jam have released a new single, "Dark Matter," ahead of their 12th LP.
A news post on the band’s website notes that the recording “channels the shared spirit of a group of lifelong creative confidants and brothers in one room playing as if their very lives depended on it.” The band debuted Dark Matter at a listening party in late January at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, with frontman Eddie Veddertelling the crowd, “No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.” Last month, guitarist Mike McCreadytold Classic Rock that the album is “a lot heavier than you’d expect.” “There’s the melody and energy of the first couple of records,” he said.
