From Craig Rosenberg and Jason Bateman, Based on a True Story ran for two seasons and starred Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina. Season 1 follows Ava (Cuoco) and her husband Nathan (Messina), a down-on-their-luck couple whose lives collide with an infamous serial killer terrorizing Los Angeles. Focused on taking care of her family, Ava is determined to resist her true-crime obsession and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan trains private tennis clients.
