Paul Schrader to Lead Sarajevo Festival Jury, Serving Alongside Noomi Rapace, Juho Kuosmanen, Una Gunjak, Sebastian Cavazza


U.S. director-screenwriter Paul Schrader will serve as president of the features jury of the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival.

He made his directorial debut with “Blue Collar” (1978) and went on to direct critically acclaimed films such as “American Gigolo” (1980) and “Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters” (1985). Through her production company Boom Films, Rapace is developing several projects, including “Hamlet” with filmmaker Ali Abbasi, in which she will play the title role. Kuosmanen made his feature debut with “The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki,” which premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2016, where it won the top prize in the Un Certain Regard section.
