One year on since the tragic death of TV legend Paul O’Grady, his husband Andre Portasio has candidly spoken about the star’s final moments, including his own shock at having to say goodbye to the love of his life. During the show, Paul got up to make some tea and Andre didn’t think anything of it, even when a loud bang emerged from the kitchen, something he initially ignored as the house was big and old and often made plenty of creaks and noises, especially with so many dogs. In the weeks and months after Paul’s death, Andre struggled to come to terms with his grief and continued to shut himself away from friends and loved ones as everything was still too painful and raw to process.
