Paul O'Grady's husband 'loses battle' against neighbours amid planning row
Paul O'Grady's widower Andre Portasio has reportedly 'lost his battle with neighbours' to expand an outbuilding at his farmhouse, following Paul's death last year
Following Paul's passing, Andre is said to have wanted to turn the outbuilding, referred to as a "security hut", into a separate two-bedroom house. It was previously claimed that environmentalists weren't happy with the idea, insisting the plans '"fail to conserve or enrich the special character and unique qualities" of the Kent Downs region. The Sun claims that planning permission for the outbuilding was granted four years ago on the condition that it "shall only be used for purposes incidental/ancillary to the enjoyment of the dwelling house and not for primary habitable accommodation".
